Ilikeabecoins Valued Member United States 262 Posts	Posted 03/18/2018 9:30 pm These are the most interesting cents I have ever seen. both found in the same roll... that I found THIS so just checking, but that is a cameo, right? Yeah, so I slapped that bad boy into a 2x2 immediately, then took pictures, then I saw IT... the black spot in the memorial bay 3. Is that zinc rot starting or carbon spotting? Either way.. and those white spots all over.. will that come off with some acetone? Advice? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't think there is anything that can be done to it to return any value. It will always be an impaired proof now. An acetone soak wouldn't hurt, though. Stick it in a 2x2, make a note of where it was found and leave it. I have yet to find a proof in circulation!
