I would say more a 1936. It's to squished to be a 2 in my opinion.

Based on the size and shape of the "6", I'm guessing 1926.

Edit: Of course, the same hit that mashed the third digit COULD have altered the six as well...

By the design, especially the lettering IN GOD WE TRUST, I'd say 1926 because of the older design.

It looks to me like something scraped/pushed the bottom of the 2 upward. Time has probably worn down any evidence of the movement.
