Hello,

Double checking the attribution of this piece, legend seems to be of Philippus but couldn't find an exact match... Do I have the emperor correct?

This coin purports to be a Philip I sestertius but I am skeptical of it's authenticity. It looks like a crude cast fake. The base metal doesn't look bronze and it also looks like it has fake patina and maybe even filed edges to cover up the casting seem.

Real example here: http://www.coinproject.com/coin_det...?coin=252330

Can you provide any other information? Weight, size, picture of edge?

I agree not a genuine example, if you look along the edge you can see a cast line.

At the very least, a Sestertius woould't be silver plated.
