My back surgery along with the pain meds is making it impossible for me to identify the VAM on this one. It's had a hard life but the circular die crack on the obverse interested me.. Any help is greatly appreciated..

Okay, the brain has cleared a little, maybe, hopefully... I think this is a VAM 1V. Does anyone concur?

I looked at 1V earlier during my lunch break and it's a close but no cigar. On the 1V plate the crack extends through the G O of GOD instead of N.G as yours - I'll continue looking when I get home from the salt mine...

I went through what I believe to be all the B1 reverse listings and came up empty. There are several close but nothing was a match from what I saw. I'll take a deep cleansing breath and try again...The only other suggestion is call in @messydesk or @VAMsforMoney.

I'm looking at a portion of the V-1U and it could be an EDS prior to the break.
This was a discovery by David Close (described with B2 reverse) and I cannot find any LFCS.
It's a long shot, but we'll leave no stone unturned.
Rest in Peace

VAM-1U(1) was one of the close that I found but I thought the die crack was slightly lower on the base of the Y.

@sys77:

I am just not seeing it in the B1.

Checked all the Ys & Buns on the Right and Top.

Checked all the Ns & Gs and 1s and Necks on the Left and Bottom.

Am I missing something or does there need to be another identifier -- when there are none -- or is it just totally different from any?

Close but not:
Quote:
1U1 (revised) II 1 · B2a ( Die Break Y) I-2 R-5
Obverse II 1- Die crack at rim at left side of Y in LIBERTY through top of Y over to right side and radial to rim with displaced field break. Very slightly doubled nostril, top lip and designers initials.

Interesting
