Can anyone tell me anything about this quarter? I'm a new member and have just started collecting error coins.

@Rwxander, first welcome to CCF. Second, while I don't see any doubling of the inscriptions or design elements on this quarter, I do see a darker area roughly in the middle of the coin. This has nothing to do with the minting process and is most likely the result of some object (like a nickel) being placed on this coin while both were exposed to the elements. Alternatively, a small puddle of a mildly corrosive liquid may have been placed on this quarter. In any case, unless I'm missing something, this coin is safe to spend.

Thank you Spence, it looks like his hair has some shadowing or something else going on. Are quarters missing the I in, in God we trust worth anything or the in running together.

If you could post images of the coins that have the damaged letters in IN GOD WE TRUST, that would help identify that caused them, and if it's PMD or an error.
Rest in Peace
