Struggling with that one - I can't see enough lettering to make out words. I thought it might be 17th century token, but it is a bit large and the second image is a bit too abstract.
Is it possible to try to get some better pictures? Maybe dampened - can make the letters stand out more, or with a side angled lighting? If that doesn't help I'm afraid a bit more cleaning to clear some of the crud and emphasise the lettering...

It's a Nuremberg jeton, not a coin; looks like a "ship penny" type. Check the UKDFD article for information and a list of the types commonly found in Britain.

Thank you very much Sap. Yes on closer inspection it does in fact match all the detail of a "Ship Penny" Jetton.
Found several Jettons but this is the very first of this type.
