I am down to a handful of Morgans that I need to complete my set. The next two I am looking for at a coin show are the 1902-S and the 1903-O. I am going to look for them in VG to XF. That's what I would be able to afford. Any suggestions as what to look for so I don't end up buying a fake coin? I find it very disappointing when I read so many articles on fakes. Thanks.

Coin shows are one of the better places to find authentic coins, I wouldn't dare take a bunch of fakes to a gathering of experts.

I would only buy from dealers I trust, or ones that have a good reputation. Ask around.

I would still keep an eye on ebay for certified lower grade dates which could be cost effective given the broader supply. Many dealers send their coins to be graded hoping for a better grade outcome and will then turn to sell on ebay if the coin comes back with a lower than expected grade.
