Hello, I don't think a round 50c would fit in a 20c roll. It's 2.98 mm difference in diameter greater. 50c diameter is the same for the 1966 round and the dodecagon coin. Regards.........

If anyone here wants some of the commemorative 20¢ & 50¢, let me know. I have heaps of spares, all taken from circulation, so they're not exactly what you'd call pretty. PM me if you have 50 posts, and we can go from there. If you can't PM me, just post here & I'll PM you.

Quote: Has anyone got a picture of the 2010 20c commemorative-100 years of taxation? I vaguely remember something about it not being released til Nov, so I don't think there would be any pictures of it available just yet. See here: http://parlsec.treasurer.gov.au/Dis...ar=&DocType=

the design ?
it'll be a picture of K.RUDD with both of his hands in somebody else's pockets, judging by the preparatory work that the government has been doing ...

You might be right Peter. It would make for an interesting design.

Hi Nancy, It sure looks like November 2010 for the 100th anniversary of taxation 20c coin. I heard somewhere it may be the middle of the year.

Does the RAM usually release the 20c CC's through Brambles and Armaguard or do they take another route to our pockets (via Reserve Bank)? Regards, Ozzie

1995 UN has been very hard to find lately and hardest of all seems to be 2001 Norfolk Island.
I have been finding a reasonable number of 2001 Bradmans and all the other states and territories.
2004 bigheads seem to be harder to find too, in recent months.

I personally find the hardest to find are the NT and ACT 20c, followed by Qld and the UN coins!
The Vic and NI coins tend to be the most common in my area.

Luke, Agosos, Mulatto, Are there any 20¢ commems you don't have yet? Let me know and I'll see what I can do for you. I have plenty of all of them, and still keep nearly all the ones I find but some of them are pretty dinged up so I release them back to the wild. Most of the 2001 State series now only show up once in a blue moon, UN hardly ever, I still get 2-3 x 2003 volunteer 20¢ per month, Bradman about the same. I'm not keeping any more 2005's, but I suppose they'll eventually start to disappear too. I agree with Jeff that Bigheads have dried up lately as well.

I wander what sort of mintage the 2010 20c 100th-Taxation coin will be?

It'll probably depend on how many 'platypus' ones they make.
Total mintage for all 11 types in 2001 was 113.8mil. The WWII coin in 2005 was 33.5 mil and the platypus was 58.6, so who knows.
I don't appear to have mintage figures for 2009 coins yet, so I guess they'll be available after the 2009/10 Annual report comes out later this year, probably around September.

Ahh yes the 20c Commemorative Coins are extremely hard to find. I got $30 worth (the bank was stingy)and only managed to find one UN and two remembrance. I've yet to come across a 50c state coin hmph!
