Hopefully it's never been cleaned. Can't be sure from those photos. If not, a beautiful 64 FSB, even by NGC's harsh standards.

Can't tell if cleaned or not from these pics. Looks MS-64, not sure if FSB as it appears the bands are not well struck around E PLURIBUS UNUM.

"Winged Liberty" - not something you often see (and I don't mean that disrespectfully).
Rest in Peace

I have been using the sticks to determine if a dime is FSB for years now. I should have realized that they are not bands.

This one is definitely FSB, then.

Agree, but tell us about the luster - it sure isn't apparent.

This one came in today and it was dressed in a basement slab. I didn't expect that as the seller had made no indication. NNC made me think of the infamous centsles, but I checked the seller and it wasn't him. Could be one of his aliases, who knows.

I examined the coin carefully, as much as I could while it was in the slab. I saw that it was really nice so I decided to break it out of the casing. That was the point of no return as the coin had (until I cracked it out) a return privilege. This is what I found. Took some pictures at different lighting angles to show the luster and the surfaces. I have an idea of what the grade is, but would appreciate your thoughts on grade and problems. Thanks!

A lot of those obverse toning specks didn't show up on the seller pics, but it has much better luster than expected, and definitely FSB. Some light hairlines on the neck, but I think it would straight grade. I'd say MS-64.
