Picked this up for $46. Thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks!

Pics too blurry to determine grade.

Something looks off about the entire coin, particularly the date.

I suspect that it might be fake.

Photos were shot at an angle distorting the look of the coin. Any chance for better photos?

with IndianGoldEagle - appears legitimate, photos are at an angle.

This coin has the worst obverse strike I've ever seen on an 1885-O, mint notwithstanding. There are numerous other surface issues that would pretty much kill this one for me. It looks heavily dipped -- the luster is unnatural and improbable, or perhaps the photos have been "processed" quite a bit.

Would send this one back ASAP unless you get it in hand and it turns out to be a winner.

I have no doubt your pics will portray the coin in a more realistic way. The original images were so distorted it was impossible to render any judgement.

I overpaid for this one. Seller's pics made me think it was less baggy, but this one had bag marks far in excess of what I expected. I suppose I could try to return it, but I love that it still has tons of original luster and I think I will keep it. If I had known what it really looked like, I probably wouldn't have paid more than $30-32. Thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks!

If you had known what it really looked like, would you have bought it? If the answer is no, return it.

At least it's MS and not dipped or cleaned. Maybe MS-62. I don't usually advocate for returns, but seller pics were terrible and you'd be justified.

Although baggy and overpriced I like the surfaces and luster. Agree with 62 and that the pics were not representative, but I like it enough to hold on to it. Thanks!

MS 62, I would send 85 0 back as the coin is worth about $30. You made a gamble and it did not work. Pay your shipping fine and try again. You need the coin at MS64 for the price you paid.
