Very nice find! Good thing that your mom held on to it. The RPM in the later die stages with the "BIE" is worth more actually since it's rarer to find this RPM in this stage.

Very nice eye that your mom has! I think maybe WRPM-001.

Very nice! I really like naked-eye visible RPMs.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But give me an earlier die state coin. http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20...6DRPM001.htmGoing through the images on this link help you to see that as the die ages, the devices loose crispness of design. I enjoy that more. I guess the choice to me would be like from a new car to one in the junkyard that is worn out. I guess I'm a early die purist.

I'd grade it around Very Good condition. It's a double error coin. It has some nicks and it's filthy. It's an excellent RPM in a later die state. In my opinion, it would be fair to sell it for around $20, if it doesn't belong to your Mom.

Hard to put a value on something that almost never comes up for sale. However, one of these sold a couple months ago in MS-63 for $250, so maybe look around at some other variety coins that sell in that range at MS-63 and then see what lower grade coins are selling for. That should give a rough idea, but there will be a much smaller buying audience for a rarity like this one than say a 1972 FS-101 so don't expect a super quick sale if you price it high. Probably shouldn't let it go for less than $30 but $50 seems like a bit much unless it had some conservation done to spiffy it up without doing anything that will harm it or cause it to get a "cleaned" label. And you'll need sharper photos if you want top dollar as grainy pics will make it look less desirable. Your photos are excellent for determining what the coin is, but too digitally muddy to make the coin look good for a sale. Looks well above VG to me, but really just very hard to tell what are dents and dings and what are digital artifacts.

Not ordinarily CM. You could have it done professionally, but for a 20-30 dollar coin it wouldn't be worth it. Like Tropicalbats said, take some better pics - and maybe run it under water to remove loose stuff first. Just lightly pat it dry with a soft cloth, and remember to always hold a nice coin only by the edges.
