Need Help Identifying What Is Struck On Reverse Of 1941 (Possible D) Nickel

Rich C New Member United States 22 Posts	Posted 03/26/2018 06:09 am Hello all, still going through a lot of older nickels and cataloging. Normal 41 obverse, but when looking for a mint Mark I noticed an issue. Right sid e of Monticello, does it look like there could have been a mint Mark or is it PMD in your opinion? I know 41s did not have the big Mark, but whatever is above the building looked similar, almost like an S mark but much wider Last, look directly athe center of Monticello, looks like a triangle unless I'm seeing things, anyone have any opinions on the abov?...I feel my original post was misinterpreted, I see what could be seen ws maybe people now, but I'm only concerned about the (possible) mint Mark and if anyone knows about this triange our if it's nothing, thanks. Spence Moderator United States 34397 Posts	Posted 03/26/2018 06:23 am Rich, I'm sure others will weigh in, but my first thought is that you are just seeing things in the extensive, but random wear and tear damage on this coin (i.e. Pareidolia). With that said, I do see the tiny little triangle too. However, even that could have been caused by some random damage that is now worn down so that only a triangle remains. If you look closely, there appears to be a second triangle slightly below and to the left of the one that you have identified.
