I came across the auction for this 1862 Liberty Seated half dollar on ebay just a few minutes before it closed. It was sitting at a low price, which may have been a tip-off.

The date looks wrong to me, so I suspect it's a fake (?)
Thoughts?

The date kind of looks out of place

Edit: Didn't read the OP, just looked at the pics. Looks like I have the same suspicions.

Everything is wrong except for the spelling.

Now, it would have been pretty funny, if the spelling was wrong

Glad I picked up on the coin's strange appearance. Fortunately, I didn't bid on it. It just looked too funny.

Most others must have noticed the same thing as it sold for only $21.

Thanks for the responses.
