Opinions I can give,All these are most likely ribbones medals, attached by the stem above each. #1 Heart is an unassigned medal, and without any indication of who it is from. #2 is a USMC medal that doesn't seem "officially" issued by the US, possibly a Vet organization/reunion medal #3 being Vietnamese is for "service" and it may be tied to #4 a UN French medal that both most likely relate to the Indo-China War ended in the French Pullout of Vietnam in 1954. More later, lunch!

Okay, back again. The next medal is just a never issued state issued commemorative from NJ(by never issued I mean to an individual, it may have been en masse to a group/Company, etc). The pocket watch case, unknown, contents? Has been buried so has no real valur unless silver melt. The last is most interesting to me. It is in design similar to the Combat Infantry Badge issued to Army regulars who have been in combat zone engagements, but with a WW2 style K-Bar USMC issued bayonet/knife. Never seen one before but it may relate to Hand-to-Hand combat in battles of WW2 or the Korean War.

Most all these are NOT official US Military issued medals, either foreign country/entity or private issue. That said, it means most if not all could be displayed on a US Serviceman's uniform in the sign of ribbon/campaign bars above the heart or as full ribboned medals on the dress uniforms. Some other nations awards are sometimes allowed like the Croix de Guierre of France or a British Royal presentation, not private issues. Being the condition, I venture a guess that these are a battlefield bring-back from Vietnam were it was dug up/purchased there.

Hey Newbie234, all I was able to find on the heart shaped one is that's it a Purple Heart? At least every search I did came up that way so don't take my word for it. Here's a couple of pics. On the back of your it looks like there is something there that attached the bust or profile to the back like the one in the pictures. Haven't look up any of the others but I'm sure Crazyb0 will have more information for you shortly

I do think that just may be a reproduction Purple heart. If these came from a group all together from Vietnam, during the war, certain medals were available for sale in chop shops in Saigon for sale to US Servicemen who wanted to go home bragging about their wounds or bravery by wearing the Bronze/Silver Star medals and ribbons. Check that persons DD214 and see just what he did earn! Sometimes you discover someone like me, spent four years in the USMC during Viet Nam, but never left the states! An issued Purple Heart ALWAYS has the recipient's name etched on the back. If this is a real US medal, it wasn't ever issued. I question the small shield and clusters on the front.
