I know you guys get tired of answering doubling questions but I still suck at telling the difference.

Keep in mind the devices that face the rim show die wear in that area. So the lines you are seeing is die flow and die striation lines on the 'D' on GOD. (also around the bust as well from die movement after the strike.

The lines are on the lower part of the date digits on this 1937-S cent.

The happen when the edge line of the die slides across the surface of the device edge. The show the dies sharpness. Still part of Machine Doubling, but on your coin the MD is very, very minor.
