Looks like circulation wear might have done this, so I'm thinking Post Mint Damage. But I will wait for the others, so don't take my word for it just yet.
Looks a bit taller, so they may have punched the mint mark a bit deeper? Some MD also. Not an RPM. An RPM would need a spread away from the normal mint mark. No Denver RPMs from 1972-D through 1982-D. San Francisco no RPMs from 1976-S forward listed on Variety Vista. So it is not a known RPM. Wexler's page is under construction. (nothing listed at all yet)
