I stopped at a bank today I only stop at once every month or so. Picked up $25 worth of cents. Checked the ends, 3 wheat enders turned up, so the batch was showing good signs already.
I-Hit-A-Small-Collection-Dump!

Started going through a few, the normal. Then, I hit a roll that felt unusually heavy. Cracked it open, 95% of the cents were pre-70s copper!
Few rolls later, I hit another heavy one... the same thing! At that time, I grabbed my scale and weighed the other rolls. 10 of the total 50 rolls ended up being 95% or greater pre-70's copper. The teller had brought the coins out to me in 5 10-roll trays. I figure they all came from one tray.
I ended up with 40 wheat cents from those 10 rolls alone.(another 8 from the other 40). My previous record of wheaties per $25 was 21, so this blew my mind!

*note all were 40s and 50s except the 1927.

In these rolls also came my first clipped planchet!

Wow, congrats on the Wheat haul! 48 is awesome for one box.

Congrats, again, on the clip. That's the best o' the bunch, anyway.

Wow.. it's soo awesome that you found that much Wheaties in one box o pennies, congrats TC!!

Most I ever found in a Box was six and one of them is a 1944 S Copper(obviously I could be soo lucky getting one of the only 2 steel ones lol) in EF40 condition and the other is an 1920 P in F12 condition.

I like the clipped planchet even more than the wheaties--well done!
