Look in between the WE and TRUST there is a odd coloring like a box what might cause it? Help me identify the extra on the reverse A Cud or BIE?

On the reverse it looks like plating bubbles. On the obverse not sure. Research Cud and BIE in the glossary.

It appears to be zinc rot in various stages of advancement.

Sometimes something will get on the coin and perhaps years may go by and when the item is removed the covered area will look new, the rest of the coin a different color. This may have happened on you coin. Some sticky piece was on the coin, later removed showing a different color.
