Yes. It is. Check it out. I just found it.
1982-D-Small-Date-Zinc-LMC
1982-D-Small-Date-Zinc-LMC

It weighs 2.58gms.

I jumped the gun AGAIN. This is the same coin I posted about a while ago. The good news is that it still weighs the same.

I went back through the posts to see what had been said about "the other" coin, and..well.....

Keep looking.

That is the common one. The hard to find one is the 1982-D small date Copper cent.

PCGS has one on the site, but it is not marked a small date, but it is the real deal.
http://www.PCGScoinfacts.com/CoinIm...spx?s=146024
Here is a note about it form the site:

Quote:

PCGS #: 146024
Diameter: 19.00 millimeters

Designer: Victor David Brenner/Frank Gasparro
Weight: 3.11 grams

Edge: Plain
Mintage: 6,012,979,368

Metal Content: 95% Copper, 5% Zinc

Auction Record: $445 PCGS MS67 3-31-2012 eBay

I added the bold to the quote. Seems like it should have went for a lot more. But they are out there.

The 6 Billion+ is not for these copper 1982-D small dates.

There seems to be some misunderstanding. The auction record quoted by coop is for a PCGS MS-67RD (assumed large date):

1982-D-Small-Date-Zinc-LMC

I likewise assume that this is the record for the Denver Small Date copper (AU-58BN):

1982-D-Small-Date-Zinc-LMC

So, you can keep seaeching for them, Crazyb0!

I knew that didn't seem correct. So that is why I posted it. But PCGS either has a zinc coin on the bronze area or they miss posted the image in the wrong section. (I've seen them do that before on different items) Sometimes a variety coin is posted as a normal coin. and vise versa on the 1909 VDB DDO-002. They have some that area the copy cat versions of this die, posted as the real deal when it is not the 002. (Just the copy cat graded as the real deal) Wait until the buyers of those coins finds out he didn't get the real DDO?
They will be the ones with the egg on their face then.
