Hey guys I need advice on this Walker that I'm interested in . I'm not sure about the MM , what's with the black surrounding the ''S'' ? The seller does not accept returns. Could that black be a burn mark made by someone intentionally putting the S mint mark on the coin . The 1916-S WLH is a key coin . I believe the mintage is 508,ooo . 152958714076Edited by T-BOP 04/03/2018 08:35 am

Normally I'd say it looks like a little it of grime accumulated there in circulation (like a circulation cameo), but I'm skeptical given the relative scarcity of the 1916-S. If I were you, I'd ask for closer pictures before making a decision.

There are many other areas that show that same black surrounding or embedded near tight areas of the design elements.
Outstanding feedback 100% +8000.
No return means NOTHING. You may still use the buyers protection, and if you pay with PayPal, you are doubly protected.

Ok thanks, the majority says it's good . I just want to be on the cautious side because I'm trying to fill some raw keys and don't want to get burnt .

Raw keys can give someone a rather toasty smell if not examined carefully.
Any reason why you aren't looking for these NGC or PCGS? The prices raw aren't much different than slabbed for this or other key issues.

It is odd that that dirt around the mm is only around the mm and nothing else. Strange but possible.
