Hi
I was just wondering... is there really a wrong way up for £2 coins for the edge writing, and does this make it more collectable and therefore increase value?

Which way up is the wrong way if this is the case? I've seen various reports for both sides of the argument (that there is/isn't a wrong way up)... what do you think?

Thanks!

Since the edge lettering is added to the £2 coin before the design is struck to the coin, you can find examples of £2 coin with the edge lettering upside down.

So I do not know how that would increase the value.

Welcome to CCF

There is no right or wrong way up at all. All the hype on ebay and other sites is just people trying to justify ridiculous prices for common coins and so make a profit. The nature of the manufacturing process means the mint has no control over which way up the flan is when presented for minting, and so, on average, there will be about half of each.
