I was going through some of my old finds this morning, when I realized the lams on this one match. Could this be caused by damage after it left he mint, coincidence, or is it common?

You have the coin in hand and I can see where the lams may be. But the photos are too indistinct to see clearly.

I was hoping I could take good enough pictures without taking it out of the 2x2.

Lamination on both sides of a coin is possible and they could run in the same direction. That being said I don''t think these are lams.

If It had been grabbed with pliers at some point I could see the near identical marks, but would that also cause the peeling effect? I'm still leaning toward lams.

Bottom line: You have the coin in hand. I have photos. You are in a better position to make this determination.
