Interesting small detail that I have noticed: I have some BU-MS 1965 LMCs that have what appears to be diagonal or horizontal step in the Pillar Bay (one or more).

An example is below of an diagonal in Bay #3:

See upper Bay #3 diagonal step:

Maybe due to a die clash - there seems to be alot of polishing done on that reverse die.

Thank you Mark1969 however if it were truly Die Clash would there not be more details of the Lincoln Bust in the other Bays?

See picture below to compare to the Shoulder Angle, etc. and again I have some others with horizontal steps in two bays on on the left and right that have no relationship to a bust, weird.

No, not necessarily. Especially if your cent was struck post die polishing. (Reverse die was polished to remove the details of the clash). Looks like there's a dark line in your picture from the steps to the N in "ONE" - being the back of Abe's head.

Keep in mind the only thing that transfers on a clash if the outside edges bust, buildings, columns, Raised metal from the field areas. What won't transfer? Any deeper die devices. Just the field and sub field devices are affected during a clash. Why? Because that is the only areas that touch each other. The outside parts of the two dies.

Looks like the die is breaking down. I'm seeing a new thing happening on the reverse of your coin:

It is called Ghost Images or Proggresive-Indirect-Design-Transfer (PIDT) No premium for this, but know what it is helps understand why it sticks out. More often found on the Wheat cents, but does show up on the Memorial coins when the dies are not retired early enough.
