I just purchased this 1894-P Morgan raw from a trusted coin dealer. I just wanted your opinion. Any issues with authenticity? What grade? Thank you all

Need better pics. Close in to see the die markers in LIBERTY and the eagles left leg.
The date looks funny.

A clearer pic of the date would help, but it looks like a fake. The 9 looks misshapen.

Trusted dealer or not, I wouldn't want to buy a coin this expensive raw. I am not a Morgan expert tho.

8, 9 and 4 looks wrong. Also date position is far which is a bad start unless it is an impaired proof. I am in the fake camp...

Far too many false indicators to be anything other than fake. Even with those photos.

Counterfeit - date postion wrong and the coin does not look like a proof.

Doesn't look like silver. I'd bet weight is too low. As mentioned date digits look wrong. IMO, either trusted dealer made a mistake or should have his "trusted" status revised.

All the detail looks pretty mushy. I think I would pass on this one.

rum n cola, you posted a 1894 counterfeit Morgan in 2015 with the same date issue. In the thread you acknowledge that you are aware that the coin is a counterfeit because of the date position and will be getting your money back from ebay. Why are you posting another 1894 counterfeit with the same date issue that you just bought from a trusted dealer? See the link below from your 2015 thread.

with Slider23: why are you posting it again? To quote Vermontensium from your old thread: Quote: Do NOT buy this coin raw in the future. Too many fakes these days to take any chances.

Thank you all for your replies. I buy most of my coins raw every now and then I buy a certified one. I forgot all about my post back in 2015 as I had not bought an 1894P in quite some time. This being a trusted dealer I took the chance again. I bought it online so was not able to see it in person. I appreciate you all confirming it's authenticity or lack there of. So many fakes out there it gets crazy at times.
