Nice coin, what was the grade... I have it at AU, but can easily make the jump to Ms-60. Toning is really nice. What did you pay.

Interesting.....
The picture doesn't help too much with estimating the grade (and the fact that I pretty much stink at grading Edwards).
Anything between ef45 and ms63 is possible.
Let us know when you receive it.

I don't mind telling anyone I paid $66 including shipping. I had my highest bid at $90 but luckily the other bidders dropped out. Value = Grade + Eye Appeal, so I think I definitely got my money's worth here.
This coin has not been graded by a third party.
I'll try for more pics when it arrives.
Thanks for your opinions.

Nice looking coin for sure but would be lucky to make EF40.

I'm a big fan of toned coins. The have an aspect of uniqueness to them. Although Edward is almost always poorly struck, I would have to also go with EF for this coin. EF45 for me.

Strictly speaking just makes EF Coin. Probably looks better in hand . Toning is fairly attractive. Nice ebay buy for sure.

To me the obverse pic is just too blurry to judge accurately.

Nice coin, lousy at grading Edwards as well, Also a fan of toned coins, just picked up a few nicely blue toned coins in a junk silver bag, might be getting a 1966 silver dollar with gold tones, sorry no pics,

Nice coin. I'd say EF. For $66, good buy!
Tip for grading Edwards:
The instinct is to look at the band of the crown as you do in George V coins; but the high points are the top of the ear, the cross in the middle of the crown, and the beads on his livery collar. All three show wear here. ... but the wear on the ear is contained to the top and the top left... to tell an VF and EF appear, look to see if the side of the ear was is worn, and if the middle cross is bleeding into the bar above it.
The bow/ribbon details on the shoulder can also be a good place to look for indications of wear on high grade coins, but the shoulder sometimes suffered weak strikes and a lack of detail on the smaller issues, so it's not super reliable on the 1c, 5c, or 10c.

So here it is. Got a couple nice pics here. Looks good in hand. I love the colouring on this coin. It replaces a washed out, cleaned 1903 5 cent in my collection that I've been wanting to replace for a while now. Any new opinions on grade?

I think @KHatt hit it right on, They seem to know exactly what to look for. I would agree with their evaluation. EF

Thanks Burnz!
Still a very nice coin, and great for the price. I think Newfoundland coins are undervalued. The 1903 5c Nfld had a mintage of 100,000 and sells (according to trends) for about the same as the 1926 Canadian 5c which had a mintage about 10 times as high.

At first, I thought this was a Super Troopers "meow" game going on... I corrected your title from Mewfoundland to Newfoundland...
