Wondering if this would be a good investment? Also curious about most proof coins on government website. Any tips would be helpful thanks!
Rest in Peace

The majority of mint products are less expensive 3-5 years after production. There are rare exceptions, with low mintage issues, but a GENERAL recommendation would be to wait a few years after distribution.

Never, "in my opinion" should you ever consider coins as an investment....unless you really really know what you're doing.

i mainly just get bank rolls and search through them. I recently acquired a USB microscope so I have been using that. I haven't actually bought any coins just yet.

The U. S. Mint is just like any other "for profit" business.
When you purchase something you are going to pay retail price.

There are a few exceptions where the market will surpass that
price but 98% of the time when you go to sell it you will loose
money. So buy what you like, but not as an investment.
