Hey Guys, I'd like your grading on this, please. It has been circulated.

The 2000 P minted Sacagawea is a very common coin. Submitting a circulated example will cost you far more in grading costs than the value of the costs.

Note: Check the Edge Stamping -- if it is not there it may be a rare error?

Let us know.

Don't all 2000 Sac's have smooth edges? I wouldn't expect any edge lettering until at least 2007, allowing for error-edges from the Presidential dollars, then as a regular feature starting in 2009.

Yes you're right during the transition:

Then the missing edge lettering started in 2009 none to partial and different positions.

I have not been doing dollars for around a year now but I always double check.

The primary known error years:

2009 through 2014 missing to partial in various areas always good information to know thanks @Alpha2814
Rest in Peace

Of course send it in to be graded, how else is the OP going to learn about the grading processes by TPG's?

I Gar-own-tea he will learn from the experience and never do it again...

Hwy14 is learning and it appears he is roll searching and yes he should do some research also on the presidential errors too. This is how you learn especially with some encouragement from others to know what to look for.

Thanks Alpha2814

AU-something?

I agree it is definitely not worth grading, especially since it has been circulated.

I may be a little old but I still remember the 2000 edge lettering error issue:

Quote:
In 2007, Sacagawea dollars had the date and mintmark on the obverse to the right of the portrait. At the same time Presidential dollars were being minted with the date, mint mark and mottos incuse on the edge. Somehow a 2007 Sacagawea dollar received edge lettering intended for Presidential dollars. Edge lettering was not used on the Sacagawea dollar (a.k.a. Native American dollars) until 2009. https://www.thespruce.com/sacagawea...ities-768230

The 2000 SAC doesn't have edge lettering and the practice had not begun, obviously, for Presidential dollars, so there is no way a 2000 could have edge lettering.

Circulated. Not worth sending to a TPG.
