Is it worth collecting or is it just to common as I have seen this on nickels and pennies also.

Well the price is right and it is a very nice example so keeping it as an examplar would be fine. However, I am doubtful that it has any numismatic value beyond face value.

It is a valuable as wrinkles are to a Senior. Face value. The die is so close to the retirement, it may have been one of the last ones struck. Just an example of how bad the dies can get. (educational piece) No premium.
