Titles are Important! * Ok after reviewing Coops explanation of strike thrus especially his example showing the wire one, I would like thoughts on these 4 quarters, all 64 Ds. They appear to have a strke through in the south east corner, all the same. Just wondering if you all agree and if they are the result of the same piece of something on the die when all 4 were struck? Found them in the same batch. Sort of unusal. Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 04/15/2018 8:11 pm They are NOT in the EXACT same location nor is their DIRECTIONS the same. They are in the same general area yes, and indented. My guess is some ejection problem, some part of the mechanism had coin contact. That would explain the variance. Same batch of minted coins and machine, but not a striking error. radatat Valued Member United States 492 Posts	Posted 04/16/2018 11:21 am ok I put them under the scope and measured the circum. distance from the 4 to the lower end of the mark. They are the same on two and two so they are actually two pairs of coins that both have the same mark. Maybe strike errors or just very odd PMD in the same place.
