1968 Lincoln Memorial cent: An almost uncirculated and stunning toned cent. On the observe side, some words of "In God We Trust" merged with the rim, and on the reverse side,a dot after the word "UNUM" is missing

The obverse is a common design flaw the mint fixed in 1969. The missing dot looks like a Grease Filled Die issue.

Same year? It could have circulation wear on top of the design flaw.

I can certainly understand why you would ask.

It's neat and well worth keeping. Unfortunately it is not an uncommon find and holds little value over a $1-$2.

On the PCGS link you can look at graded examples and see that they are common for that year:

You can enlarger each coin and then click on the bottom center area to enlarge the coin even more it desired. Great site for images of normal and some FS-000 die images. From these larger images I make a lot of close up images of doubled dies/RPMs/other varieties.

Dear Mr Cooper,
Thank you for the suggestion website. After visiting the website I confirmed the cent 1968 showing above is really a special or may be the unique one.

With all due respect, it is extremely common and I could go to the bank, get some rolls, and pull around 5 or 6 of these with the same effect

It is extremely common for 1968 cents. Unfortunately, not really worth a premium at all.

Did you even look at the link coop posted? It has tons of examples of the letters blending into the rim.

Yep, although it has tons of examples but no one is merged such so deep into the rim.

It doesn't matter; it has no added value because of that.
