And I don't mean a country, but a location in a country. Such as Mount Fuji in Japan (1 Sen), or the Lincoln Memorial in the US.
This is just an idea for a thread that members might find interesting.
I would also ask the moderators what they may think or what forum rules or preferences I may not be familiar with regard to posting pictures of their visit there.
What do you think?

Hello coinjem! I tried something similar four years ago but it kind of fizzled out... Here are a couple to get it started! St Paul's Cathedral in London and a 2005 UK two-pound coin: The Menai Suspension Bridge in Wales and a (fake!) pound coin:

I have been in the scene as seen from the Bridge (looking east), in Balboa Park, S.D., as depicted on the San Diego-Pacific International Exposition commemorative Half Dollar (KM#1) My daughter-in-law grew up in SD, lived in Brant Street, overlooking SD Harbor and U.S Naval Base to Point Loma; she now lives in Sydney. My son stole one of America's prettiest! She is fast loosing her SoCal. accent, but retains most of her culture. There are a few other Australians in nearby SD Zoo. (Koalas only, but none of my direct relatives. ) Interesting thread for me. I have also been out to the Menai strait, North Wales. I lived in nearby Manchester, U.K. for a couple of years, and went there on a sunny weekend day visit. Also interestingly, I have been right at the very top of St Pauls Cathedral, above the dome. Spent some time with Legal Councel, (their address in Paternoster Square, in front of St Pauls Cathedral), representing the Local Government Council that I worked for, in Manchester.

They ever make a coin or token depicting 100 years of Chicago's Cook County Jail?

It was a long hot hike in Arches National Park for this view. Many other hikes reveal more arches but this one is the icon.

Don't have any pictures handy of my visit, but I was born not far from Stone Mountain and went there all the time as a kid. I've only been back once in the past 20 years, though. Thrilled to finally own this type o had wanted for a long, long time! Edit to add: One of the most fascinating things I learned there (as a lifelong biology enthusiast) is that the top of Stone Mountain is home to an endemic species of shrimp that come out of stasis when rain water pools at the top of the mountain: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bra...ella_lithacaThey may not have been officially recorded since the 40s, but I saw them there in 2013 on my last visit.

What do you think? Just to clarify. You're asking for a picture of a coin, plus a picture (preferably you took the picture), of the place you visited? Correct?

What a cool idea for a thread. Only place I can think of is The Lincoln Memorial as others have posted. Going to put on my thinking cap and go through the State Quarters.
