Hello, new collector here. Can one of your awesome members advise if this an error? The "B" and "E" in LIBERTY on obverse look like there's a slab or something connecting them. Appreciate any input, thanks for your time if you bothered to check this out. =)

to CCF. It is called a BIE error. It is a die chip.

That is called a Die Break, where an edge has broken off around the device. It has a name called a "BIE" error for it's "looks". See if you can find it listed at this site:

To CCF! Very nice find! It's called a "BIE". It happens when the die chips out a small piece of metal in between the "B" and "E" of "Liberty". It's a keeper and should be placed in a 2x2 coin flip for protection.

The pics show a 1955-D, so your title needs to be corrected. Use the "pencil & paper" button over your first post.

It is a BIE for sure, and check out that link that Crazyb0 provided to see if you can identify which one it is. Who knows, it could be a new one.
