What are your opinions on the cent versus penny debate? I always say cent and correct someone if they say penny. Some people are just ignorant, and we have to deal with them.

I'm not a huge fan of correcting grammar and nomenclature, but rather focus on the coins themselves. Plus I'm sure that I make plenty of mistakes and typos myself.

I usually say "cent" on this website so it isn't confused with the English Penny.

When giving someone change, I will often say "pennies" or "cents". Usually "pennies" because it's easier to say.
