I don't mean to go in a different direction with the thread but it's relevant as it was mentioned as a solution for this particular coin. I've heard various issues regarding acetone on copper coins. One said not to do it, another said it's ok, and yet another said it's ok but only if done in the dark as the light makes the acetone react with the copper. Is there's a consensus opinion out there? Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 04/23/2018 11:57 pm Never had trouble with PURE CLEAN acetone on coppers. Problems arise when you try to use the same acetone used before. Residue is in the solution from the first soak, is VERY problematic if silver was first used! Report this Post to the Staff
