What about this 1994 d that I found what do you think happened to it? I've been trying to figure it out for a few weeks.

@Joe98837, first welcome to CCF. Second, yeah having pics that don't require us to swing our head back and forth to see the images straight would be nice. Don't stress about it though--at least your images are well lit and pretty much in focus. If you can stick around, we'll have you photographing your coins like a pro.

It looks to me like your coin has suffered a hit which exposed the zinc core to the air. The shape of the damage is a little unusual in that it has two perpendicular lines right next to the mintmark, but regardless I don't think that there is any numismatic value beyond face value.
