Just an FYI from the Mint's Facebook page today: "An exclusive first look: follow along live on Facebook tomorrow at 10 a.m. (EDT) as we unveil an exquisite new collector coin to celebrate the upcoming #RoyalWedding." The post included a picture of Harry and Meghan so expect them to be on the coin.

This Meghan Markle and Prince Harry coin is ridiculous. He is 6th in line to the throne and will probably never be King. She is a "C" list 36 year old actress who was on a show that I never even heard of called Suits.
Why on earth would I want this coin? 15,000 are to be minted. If this becomes a hit great but I see this as a big DUD!!

I think that's why the initials are JK, for "just kidding". I wouldn't buy it but each their own

So far negative responses on this coin. I personally don't collect royal coins, so will not be buying it. For the people that do, they will probably add this to their collection. For the design, it's ok. IMO

They're a lovely couple but I don't need a coin commemorating them.

I think it's fine for what it's supposed to be - a Royal commemorative. I don't collect such coins, however, so I won't be a buyer. While checking on another matter with the RCM a few minutes ago, I asked about how sales were going and was told that it seemed to be popular. The rep I spoke with estimated that 6 of 10 calls he has taken included orders for the coin. I don't know his sample size, but it's a data point.

I thought this Royal Wedding coin was quite ugly, then I saw the one from the Cook Islands. Yikes!

The RCM, The Royal Mint and most mints from Commonwealth countries issue NCLT to commemorate Royal events. If you are a Royal collector, it is a must buy... If you are a Commonwealth mint, then it is a cheap idea... If, like me, you couldn't care less about the Royal family, then the coin is only purchased if other reasons apply. I maintain a collection of Canadian $1 Silver so items such as the 2002 Accession to the Throne, 2002 Queen Mother or the 2003 Gold plated reissue of the Accession/Coronation coin are in my collection. Watch out... in the fullness of time, there will be a series of coins issued when new couple deliver a new prince or princess... much like has occurred with Harry's older brother and their children. This Royal Wedding coin is an ugly coin...(IMHO) come to think of it, I haven't yet seen a coin reverse that depicts a headshot of a person or people that is attractive, even the $1 Queen Mother coin I have is ugly... regardless of the fact that it is almost a NCLT unicorn in that it has increased in value and maintained that value over time. Question to the forum: Are there any attractive headshot reverses out there; The RCM doesn't seem to be able to pull it off.

@vonigohcr: I have the same Royal SDs - gotta keep the SD collection complete! They're it for me, however. I agree that the 2002 Queen Mother SD did see a nice increase in value in the years immediately following its release. Unfortunately, much of the increased value has eroded over the last five years. I remember when the coin sold regularly for well over $300 USD. Right now, I have my choice of several for under $180 USD on ebay and can even buy one for about $130 USD (with all its original packaging). It seems even the Queen Mother SD has fallen victim to the dwindling interest in RCM NCLT.
