Yes...I saw the new offerings and I really like the Captain Canuck coin with the signed certificate. Apparently only 1500 out of the 3500 will have the signature and I believe only offered through RCM. I received CC&C advance notice and it did not state that signed certificate available with the Captain Canuck coin.

I also ordered the MC exclusive Moon Mask.

As for the others, either out of my price range or too high of a mintage and will wait for down the road reductions.

What makes this set a "Special Edition?" Is it a different SD from the set released earlier in the year or is it the same SD with colour enhancements?

Thank you for detailed update!

so many coins, and all are limited mintage (below 10K)

"Captain Canuck" - finally truly our superhero coin, and not some Marvell or DC world.
3500 mintage will be extremely popular.

I just saw the "100th Anniversary of the Armistice of the First World War" SD on ebay - I like it! Its design is a nice blend of classic and modern aesthetics.

Of course, I'll be a buyer!

I bought the following two coins:

1) Pure Silver Ultra-High Relief Coin - Ancestor Moon Mask

It's the silver version of the gold coin released earlier this year. I like the bright colours on this silver coin, as well as the ultra-high relief.

2) Modern Allegory: Borealia

A gold-plated silver coin. I like the design and the gold plating. Somehow it reminds me of last year's Whispering Maple Leaves coin: just gold-plate the whole thing and hopefully it will sell like hot cakes.

On my watchlist

1) Dragon Boat

A stunning ultra-high relief coin. I bought last year's Dragon Boat and I liked it. However, with no guarantee of low COA number and a mintage of 6,000, I don't need to buy it now. I may even get a lower price later.

2) Pure Gold 2-Coin Subscription: 30th Anniversary of the SML

I don't get why RCM issues a gold coin to commemorate a silver coin, and vice versa. But again, you don't reason with RCM.

The selling point: the first gold coin with incuse-struck images on both sides.

But the second coin in this subscription, to be released in April 2019, may look exactly like a gold bullion coin, in my opinion.

Questionable coins

30th Anniversary of SML: subscription of 2 silver coins, 3 oz each

This set has the exact same design as the 1-oz subscription released earlier this year. The only difference: 3 oz this time. The free wooden box looks very nice though; I almost subscribed to it until I realized I had already subscribed to the 1-oz subscription, which comes with an ugly box.

My question: why?

I strongly believe the mint has released too many coins for the 30th anniversary of SML. Maybe 2018 is a boring year without many anniversaries for significant events.

I want a few of the Canuck coins. Don't see them on ebay yet. Will try to preorder with my local POs.

We need to get them as fast as possible, in order not repeat the miss of UFO coin

You right, need to go through POs and load.
Sure, similar to UFO it will lose the attraction very quickly, but in the hype period, people can load-unload

Never heard of Captain Canuck and based on the Wiki page, I'm guessing many others haven't either. Very limited comic book character that I'm not sure translates into mass appeal but I guess we will see.

As for the coin. I'm not a fan of square/rectangular coins so this one is not for me.

It is on ebay (check mario's listings).

The Armistice SD looks awesome. Definitely a buy for me. It's also on ebay (coins.4.fun).

Thanks Jimper for the listing.

I don't want to flip it. I remember the comic book as a kid. You used to be able to get the mini-comics in cereal boxes! What fun!
