So I bought these coins because I thought from pictures that one coin had mirrored fields (coin 6). Now I have coins in hand and indeed it has mirrored fields. Which one of these 6 coins do you grade highest? My favourite is coin 6 but if looking for techincal grade I would go with coin 4. Coin 1. Coin 2. Coin 3. Coin 4. Coin 5. Coin 6. Thank you for looking.

I chose 4,6 does have a mirror look but with the spots it lacks eye appeal. John1

No. 4, hands down. Sell the others and keep the one, put the money into another coin like No. 4

#4 is beautiful! I would be proud to have an example like that in my Finland type set

I hate being an agreeable cuss, but I'm with everyone for #4.
That was a beautiful lot.

Thank you for your opinions. I'll get 3 of these graded (coin 3,4 and 6) by NGC when there is NGC Europe grading week in June. I'll be sure to post results when I get grades. I'll keep coin 4 and 6 (if it gets PL designation) for myself and sell rest.

sent these coins today for NGC grading. My grades for coin 3, 4 and 6 are MS66, MS67 and MS64 PL (just to see how wrong or right I am when I get NGC grades).

I got these coins back today and my grades were off by 1 point for coin 3 and 4. For coin 6 I was off 4 points and it didn't get PL designation. I think for coin 6 those spots didn't affect grade in anyway. Anyways I am really happy with grading results. Coin 3 Coin 4 Coin 6

On NGC site there are way better pictures of these coins than I did take. With heavy hearts I must bid farewell to coin 3 and 6. These coins will travel to US very soon for auction to find a new home. Coin 4 stays with me (or atleast at my safe deposit box).

Whoa! I'm amazed that anything 100 years old can get MS-68, let alone two in the same batch.
What was the story with these? How did they stay so perfect?

Quote: What was the story with these? How did they stay so perfect? That I do not know. This batch was sold in Finnish auction with description "rare quality condition". My guess is that someone over the years picked best examples that he/she could get, stored them in good enviroment and later decided to auction these coins. 1915 Finland Markka is by far most graded example of Grand duchy of Finland markka coins. Now that NGC consensus has updated there are 284 graded examples +(6 details and one PL coin). 8 of those coins are MS68. Two are owned by me (one went to US for auction). One MS68 is in registry set that is located in Russia. Rest five examples I have not seen in any registry sets or being sold.
