Just want to know if this looks like a coin struck through something or if it's just a damaged coin.
Thanks
Mitch

When we say Dryer Coins, we are referring to the commercial clothes dryers in a laundry mat. They are very tall and the coins leftover in pockets fall down a larger distance. This causes the rims to be rolled over and showing strong contact marks. Next time there try having before and after images and post them here. (Different denominations would be nice to see)

Interesting about the Dryer Coins. I didn't know they turn out looking like that.

I've seen Dryer Coins before. This one looks like it got tossed in a aligator with a fabric softer.

More often they show more of a rolled edge on the coin:

Yep, that's at I'm used to seeing..
The curious part of the OP's coin, to me, is the still flat field area around the letters even thought the letters took damage as well as the inside of the rim just above the latters. Doesn't appear to be any zinc showing through? I had a leather jacket once that looked like that coin.
