*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

I purchased this with a broken up proof set the nickel was absent , so for $6.50 I said yea sure , a few days later I had time to really review them under microscope and this is what I found, give me your opinions please. Thank you very much I am new here and still figuring out things so I posted all the pictures under my user name , click on that

This is MD, the flat shelf-like appearance. Remember thar proofs are struck twice, that just give twice the possibility for movement after strike(bounce) as normal business strikes. It is quite common on proof coins and absolutley horrendous on the 68-70 proofs, finding one that has no MD is the prize in my opinion! (which I haven't had great success at either!)

Thanks for the pics!

If there is anything there, it is MD ( Machine Doubling). There is no die doubling.

No. Just a normal proof coin with slight MD.

Tip of the day: will a machine doubled coin grade differently than a normal coin from PCGS? No. The MD doesn't affect the grade. But as a savvy buyer, I would not buy one. To me, it ruins the coin. But some don't care.
