Hello, I have recently received this coin from my mother who said that she actually found it while in Greece, and this would have been at least 40 years ago. I know absolutely nothing of the coin or what any of the writing means. It would be so greatly appreciated if anyone could help decipher if they happen to know anything whatsoever. Many thanks in advance....

Upon further investigation, I found out the markings just by typing them into google and finding the exact same thing on ebay. It is actually "VENICE GREECE DALMA ET ALBAN COPPER GAZZETTA 2 SOLDI TWO"....

Other than that, I know not a thing! Thank you

It appears to be a coin of Dalmatia while under the rule of Venice (because one side has an image of Saint Mark), not an ancient Greek or Roman ooin.

Someone will figure out the exact details in a little while.

It is a 2 soldi coin issued in the late 1600s for Dalmatia under rule of the Republic of Venice. Very nice!
