I was throwing away some trash into a dumpster when I noticed this under something inside it. I was at my father's store at the time, and the man next door to us sells antiques, so I think it came from him.

It's wooden with some cork on the back and a man on the front. I know it's not a coin or medal, but I don't know where to go to find anything on it. I tried searching it online, and found that there are cork lids with various designs used for wine bottles, so maybe that's what it is?

I was hoping someone could atleast identify the man so I could do some further research. He kind of looks like a general or something.

Googling images does not always work. Just recently I googled a large Kennedy medal and Google came up with "coin" and "quarter" for each side.

I have seen sherry bottles use that kind of topper.

I would suspect that the man is either a generic image or perhaps the founder of the wine/ sherry company.
Rest in Peace

It's most likely a medicine bottle topper, like Hall's Bros Cough Syrup or it could be food, but neck cork says smaller bottle of 20oz or less.
