First sorry for the pic, I was just taking it quick before my sis loaded it up to take to the city.

Anyway, we were going to sell this to a gold buyer. I have since done some research and I am wondering if that is a really bad idea. The quote I got today was 1875.00 Cnd. I can hardly find any similar online that sold and the one I did was in the 2600 Cnd area.
NGC has it listed at 2550 US (I assume). I know sites like that are usually high in their "values"

Any suggestions before Friday? I don't mind leaving people "meat on the bone" but that is a pretty big steak LOL

Thanks again!

Here is a page with some specifics about the coin:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces26492.html

According to that page, it should have a gold value of $1587.97 at today's spot price, but I am unsure of the collectable value.

I feel that a coin dealer would pay gold value, and try to make a profit above that, to perhaps around $2,000, if there was a buyer ready.
If not, then he would have to sell for around $2,500. (USD)

You can find slabbed ones for 1900-2000. Honestly this is a melt value item.

Regardless of catalog value, there isn't much interest in non-US gold coinage outside of British Soverigns, Krugerrands, and Canadian/Australian/Austrian bullion coins. $2,000+ is a lot to tie up on a whim, and not many people actively collect Panamanian NIFC above the large silver 20 Balboas (which still barely go over melt).

If you need the cash, I would get offers from a few coin shops or gold buyers and go with the highest bidder.
