At least tell me what that horizontal line is going through the T of CENT is...
And if not what's going on with the initials fg?

Massive reverse deterioration and polishing has left the lower devices thin, FG messed and Abe is floating on air!

Basically the devices are normal in size. Compare it with any normal coin and you will see they are the same size. When a coin is a doubled die, the devices are enlarged. With Machine Doubling, he normal devices are reduced even smaller:
Here is a dime with a side by side with the MD VS DDO:

Note how the MD example is show reduction of the normal size of the devices. While die lower image of the DDO is showing an enlargement of devices. That is called spread of the devices. You can also see the devices on the right are spread more than the examples on the left, that show notching. Note the size of the devices on the last time on the DDO, how much larger they are.

If it is not something attached to the coin, then it might be a die gouge. But that would never be a doubled die. A doubled die has enlarged devices from the hubbing on the die. The doubling is on the die. So if it doesn't flow with the design, then it is not a doubled die. (Check to see if something is attached on the 'T'? If it rises above the upright, then it is something on the coin.
Here is a DDR (Didn't know I had these images till now)
