1964 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Gold Tint Question

southsav Pillar of the Community 2222 Posts	Posted 05/02/2018 9:11 pm Found this 1964 LMC last week and it's golden tint struck me as odd. It is not painted and does not appear to be from an intentional cause, I just don't know. Here are several photos and comparison photos with typical bright copper/brass cent and a brown cent. Any thoughts as to the cause of the gold tint to the 1964 coin, man made? or what? Photos are about the best I could capture the coloring. Thanks in advance, Report this Post to the Staff
