I have been looking at many 1966 coins, but feel that when some says 1966 error the double bars only appear very weakly and only on some coins is it edvient. I'm not sure if I'm just seeing this or if this is actually the error?

Two different coins? Does this error even add value to the coin or does it have to be very strong to add the premium?

Looks like it from the first picture.
I suspect most or all 1966 50c pieces have the double bars but just very weak. I've never seen one with prominent double bars.

I dispute that MR T I would say 30% around that but I only have a small sample, also if they did appear on most coins would not not have double bars be the error ;), plus need to be in f+ grade to see them, supposely they also appear on some other years.

I would have up to 100 unc round 50's and only a few have the pronounced double bar feature but many have the feature
in a slight way

Yeah it was meant to be part of the design but was removed at some point (possibly in 1966, possibly in 1967, I'm not sure).
I haven't looked at a whole lot of 1966 50c pieces but I agree with stevo that many have the feature at least, which makes me think it's there for all of them but just varies in strength.
