On the side of the top left side of the wheat has a extra piece

What you have is a small die crack. It is a variety (which are related to errors), but a fairly common one on wheat cents of the late fifties. It won't command a premium, especially on a well-circulated coin, but it's still a fun find.

Yes, very small die crack - no premium over the 2¢ value of a 58-D LWC!

@bate, could you please post a pic showing the entire rev. The reason for my request is that some wheat cents had Retained Cuds in this area. I'm wondering if this crack actually progresses partway allong the wheat and then exits back to the rim lower down. If not, the yes it is just a die crack.
