This is one of the varieties that I seem to have trouble with, I don't ever want to call it, due to the fact that normal circulation wear and tear does look a lot like the 1922 weak D on most of the old wheat cents. Thank you for the help! Still keeping it regardless, cause @7.2 million minted that year, still a Semi Key Date. But yeah, I want to say that it isn't just wear and tear, cause the reverse seems to have a fuller strike, so if it were wear and tear on the obverse, you would think that the reverse might have equal "wear look" to it.

That thing has seen better days. I've got a couple old ones like that. They are just so worn that it is hard to tell if it's an error or not.

Looks like a regular one that was when the limited number of dies had to strike more coins. The weak D is when the mint mark is almost gone because the die was way over polished. More like this one:

Just a normal '22-D to my eye.

It looks like a normal 1922 D, with a well circulated D.
Rest in Peace

The weak D has the strong reverse of Die #2,with that amount of wear, you would usually see a bit of wheat festering left, just a touch. This was a weak reverse strike, the O of ONE may tell you what die pair...it's a science, there are definite markers to tell.

This is a normal 1922 D LWC with circulation wear and heavy die wear. Not the "Weak D" variety
