Need a little help with this one, I'm thinking its Machine Doubling, I just haven't seen a cent with that looks like this one, with possible doubling on on both sides of the letters.
Thanks
Mitch

Looks like a normal steel cent with MD on the USA area. Note how these devices are reduced by the MD. Stop looking at the edges of the devices. Look more for spread in the centers of devices.

Note on this example, there is Machine Doubling on the left sides of the devices. But looking at the centers of the devices, you can see the hub doubling is huge.

Note on these images the spread in the center of the devices are more noticeable than looking at the edges of the devices. If it has hub doubling, then the spread should be present. When the devices are normal size, then the MD removes the devices, just like your images show.

Look at the centers of the devices, not the edges.

If it is a doubled die, it should be easy to see. If not, then it might be a normal coin.

I understand what you are saying coop. I think the edge of the devices is always what catches my eye and I lose sight of the thickness, which is a much better indicator of doubling.

It's Machine Doubling since you can see the reduction of the devices and how it's shelflike in appearance.
