Just out of curiosity, why ICG and not one of the top three TPG's? John1

The whole cost thing. I also know that what I save in grading fees I probably will lose in value when I sell them. I've kicked around crossing them over to PCGS but not sure yet. I've also read that ICG used to be a great grading company but people have got away from them since they don't track coins like PCGS. IDK, your thoughts?

My thoughts are,if you want lower slab costs go with ANACS. It is still one of the top three TPG's. Most people will buy the slab the coin is in before the coin itself, they should not. Always buy the coin, not the slab...IMHO. John1

Yeah, I see they are having a 7 for 77 sale too. Not bad. Just picked up 8 boxes of halves and will see what No FG's I can find. Hope at least a few anyways

"Raised die flaw" is what PCGS says the cause is. I've also read that it's unsure what the cause is from. Heck, I don't know, that's just one of the few dollars I search for!

Raised die flaw is wrong. PCGS goofs again. The feature on the coin is raised so it is a incuse die flaw, in other words a die gouge. or possibly a hub through (Similar to a strike through but the foreign object was between the hub and the die blank, not the die and a planchet.) Since the feature is discontinous I would suspect a gouge rather than a hub through.

Conder101, thanks for that verification to what I've been so thoroughly reamed for before. The "innie/outtie" thing again, but who am I to say PCGS goofed? I'm just beyond flabbergasted at how much people are willing to part with their "disposable income" for a metal manufacturing flaw. Now a hubbings error, that which isn't mechanically caused, to me are worth a set fee, but these arbitrary figures, whew! Guess if you can get a price for it, more power to ya.

Very nice finds and good grades shotgung! Crazyb0, he pulled these out of rolls he's searched for. You better keep your opinions to yourself! He can do whatever he wants and it's none of your business. Just stop being mean, period.
